  • Angela Lansbury was working at Bullock's Department Store in London when she landed her role as Nancy, the Cockney maid. Her boss at Bullock's, not knowing what Lansbury's new job was, offered to match her increased salary. You can imagine what he said when Lansbury explained she would be going from a mere $27.00 a week to more than $500.00. In her first acting experience and only 18-years-old, Lansbury proved a natural talent. Her performance earned her an Academy Award nomination.

  • The first time Ingrid Bergman met leading man Charles Boyer, was during the filming of the scene where Boyer surprises Bergman at the train station and they embrace in a passionate kiss.
